46 Normal – Inside Blitz V3

In this Madden Tips breakdown, we show a set up out of 46 Normal – Inside Blitz that brings pressure off the edge from the LE. To do the full set up, it requires some speed on the controller because we individually put the cornerbacks into press coverage.

The 46 Normal – Inside Blitz is a Cover 0 man defense that has five defenders playing man coverage, while the other 6 defenders pass rush the quarterback. With both the middle linebacker and left outside linebacker blitzing, makes it one of the top defenses in the game when it comes to bringing pressure on the quarterback. The downside of this defense is there are no defenders playing deep coverage. For this reason, this is high risk/high reward defense to call.

Quick Set Up:

• Show blitz.
• Hot route the RE into QB Contain.
• Individually put the RCB and LCB into press coverage (optional).

Where the Pressure Comes From:

• The pressure for this set up comes from the LE, who comes hard off the right side of the offensive line.
