A popular Madden 13 formation that many players are running from the Carolina playbook is called Gun Panther Heavy. This formation features 23 personnel that places the TE1 and TE3 tight on the right side of the field and the TE2 and FB tight on the left side of the field. The TE1 and TE2 line up on the line of scrimmage, while the TE3 and FB line up off the line of scrimmage. All four of them line up in a 3-point stance. The HB lines up to the right of the QB, who is in the Gun. By having the TE1, TE2, TE3, and FB in the line up at all at once, it makes this a formidable formation as far as rushing the ball.
There are 4 rushing plays and 2 passing (see plays at bottom of page for a diagram of each) found in the Gun Panther Heavy. Of those plays, the QB Blast, QB Power, QB Wrap and PA Read are the ones most used among players. To use this formation you need a QB who has speed and can take punishment as he will be getting a bulk of the carriers.
